It’s rare enough that fine woodworkers typically use it only for inlays or small turned items. It’s a classic, high-quality Brazilian hardwood; very dense with a lovely figure. At Hogue, our craftsmen have used it over the years to create a variety of stunning, hand-crafted grips for revolvers and autoloaders. Tulipwood grips range in hues from light tan with subtle figuring to more dramatic and lively tones with light red swirl patterns.
